2023 Pittsburgh Zine Fair
103-year-old Mister Tony and I tabled at The 2023 Pittsburgh Zine Fair located at the Kingsley Center just a few blocks from Tony’s house. He signed books, told stories, and was welcomed with such warmth and kindness. He stood on his feet for the entire four hours, signed books, and shook hands. We got to share a table with the incredible Laura Zurowski, who is the creator of Mis.Steps. Tony had such a great time that he asked me, “Why didn’t we do this last year?” I replied, “Good questions, Tony.”
As we left, he waved and said, “See you next year.”
